Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on the Tia platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Tia platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Tia platform. Parents and guardians are responsible for accepting these Terms on behalf of any student accounts they create, and for ensuring that students comply with these Terms while using the platform.

Eligibility and Accounts

Parent accounts

Parent accounts may only be created by adults aged 18 or over. By creating a parent account you confirm that you are an adult and that you have parental or legal guardian authority over any student accounts you create on the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at feedback@tia.coach if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

Student accounts

Student accounts are created by parents and guardians on behalf of students in Grades 7 to 12. Students do not create their own accounts. All student account details, including login credentials, are set and managed by the parent.

Student accounts may be created using either a real email address or a login name. Where a login name is used, no email address is required from the student. In either case, the parent receives and controls the student's initial login credentials and is responsible for sharing those credentials appropriately.

Account accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and current information when creating accounts, including your country of residence. Country selection affects curriculum-relevant terminology and certain platform features.

The Tia Service

Tia provides a personalised tutoring service for home learning students in Grades 7 to 12. The platform is available in six countries: Australia, New Zealand, United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland.

Tia currently offers tutoring support across three subjects: Mathematics, English, and Science. Each subject is available as a separate subscription or as part of an all-subjects bundle. Current pricing is available at tia.coach/pricing.html.

The platform provides the following core features:

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Tia service at any time. We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any material changes that affect existing subscribers.

Subscriptions and Billing

Current pricing for all Tia subscriptions is available at tia.coach/pricing.html. Prices may vary by currency depending on your country of residence. Applicable taxes may be added at the point of purchase in accordance with local requirements.

Recurring billing

By subscribing, you authorise Tia to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency applicable to your chosen plan, until you cancel. Your billing date is set from the date your free trial ends or your first paid charge is processed.

Subscriptions are per student. If you have multiple students, each student's subjects are billed separately and can be managed independently from your parent dashboard.

Payment processing

Your payment details are processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your payment card details on our systems. You can update your payment method at any time through the billing portal in your parent dashboard.

Coupon codes

Coupon codes may be offered from time to time. Codes are subject to their own terms including expiry dates, usage limits, and eligible products. A valid code must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied retrospectively to existing subscriptions.

Free Trial

New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. During the trial period you have full access to all features of the subscribed subject or bundle. No charge is made during the trial period.

At the end of the trial period, your subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription and your nominated payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Free trials are offered once per product per account. If you cancel and resubscribe to the same subject, a further free trial will not be offered unless stated otherwise at the time of resubscription.

How to avoid being charged Cancel your subscription before your trial end date. You can cancel at any time from your parent dashboard under Manage Subscriptions. Cancelling during the trial period will not result in any charge.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your parent dashboard, or by contacting us at feedback@tia.coach.

When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation, and access to the subject is maintained until the period end date.

Cancellation does not delete your account or your student's learning data. You can resubscribe at any time and all session history, mastery scores, and learning profile data will be preserved.

Refunds

Subscription charges are non-refundable. We do not provide partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period.

Exceptions may be made at our discretion in cases of billing errors or duplicate charges. To request a review, contact us at feedback@tia.coach within 14 days of the charge in question.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be marked as past due and subject access may be restricted. You will be notified by email and can update your payment method through the billing portal.
